I have a passion for helping, and strongly feel that building a connection - a supportive, therapeutic relationship - is critical and essential for counseling to be most effective. You will find in me a genuine person, and genuinely caring. I want to help you either overcome and conquer your struggle, or find a way to make life worth living - learning, practicing, and using "tools" that can elevate you to truly living from merely surviving. I've helped hundreds of people to find joy and new purpose, and I want to help you, too.
Unconditional positive regard is a priority in my practice - I want to understand your situation and difficulties and partner with you to help. I use a number of approaches in my practice, primarily Person Centered, CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Humans are relational beings and need to feel a sense of connectedness, relationship.
Simply put, I care about people. You'll find me to be open, honest, friendly, personable, relaxed, warm, caring and compassionate.
