My name is Dan Nordstrom and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach to therapy is to help clients meet their goals through addressing thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs that improve coping strategies, decrease distress, and improve relationships. My main areas of practice are working with adults of all ages experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, addictions, and life transitions.
I use a combination of Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and Imago Therapy, to identify goals, repair emotional wounds, improve coping strategies, build and maintain motivation, and facilitate healthy relationships and boundaries.
I'm a deep thinker who cares about others. I'm curious about what people go through and why their lives become difficult. I'm also good at communicating and want to learn how to help people with mental health challenges.
