I specialize in helping adults and older adolescents (age 16 and older) overcome issues that range from anxiety, depression, mild trauma, anger, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, compulsive behaviors, and substance abuse/codependency issues to managing life transitions.
For therapy to be effective, the experience needs to fit each individual in a unique way. One of my strengths is being sensitive to each individual client's personality and needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal, existential, and humanistic.
I have a calm, rational, nonjudgmental, and caring approach and can quickly demonstrate understanding and offer insight. Clients working with me report they feel understood, discover ways to nurture their own healing resources, and gain insights that help bring about positive change, healing, and greater life satisfaction.
