Therapy can sometimes be hard work, but it should also be rewarding and fun! My ideal client is looking for a collaborator/consultant- you are the expert in your own life; I want to reflect, help identify priorities, challenge, and offer new perspectives. I specialize in individual and couples' therapy, with special interests in academic and career progress, dilemmas of meaning and purpose, problematic family dynamics, sexual orientation and gender identity concepts, navigating ethical nonmonogamy, and negotiation and conflict resolution. I have a passion for destigmatizing mental health and advocating for wider access to services.
As an existentialist-integrative therapist, I believe that adaptation to change is key in managing stress, anxiety, and depression. As an eclectic practitioner, I believe in using cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and family systems-based components where appropriate. The goal is to meet you where you are, and help design a more fulfilling path forward.
