About
Psychotherapy is a healing process which I am honored to be a part of. I greatly respect your decision to seek change, and I will work diligently to help you. Suffering is universal but you are unique; we will collaborate to understand what ails you and create an individualized therapy experience. I listen closely, empathize deeply, and maintain a curious, open-minded stance to build an authentic bond, which is paramount in healing. Within the safety of our therapeutic relationship I will help you explore, understand, and bring about the changes you want.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist that works with adults and older adolescents struggling in any aspect of life (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma, drug/alcohol use, relationship problems). I have training in relational, dynamic, and cognitive therapies with a specialization in harm reduction treatment for substance use issues.
In addition to my clinical training I have philosophical leanings that often influence my treatment approach. I typically emphasize and incorporate concepts such as freedom, choice, and meaning into therapy. If you think we might be a good fit, I would love the chance to be your therapist. Regardless, I hope you find the help you are looking for.
