Depression and anxiety are symptoms of imbalances we are experiencing on a not so conscious level. In therapy, we figure out what those are, and sort them out. Each of us has an optimal path, and our mission in life, whether we know it or not, is finding that path. The closer we get to the path, the better we feel. Just living in this rapidly evolving world is challenging in and of itself, and when you throw the regular vicissitudes of life into the mix, it becomes overwhelming. Thankfully, the stigma around seeing a “shrink” seems to have been relegated to the dustbin of history. I have worked with every type of person.
