My areas of interest and experience includes mood disorders, eating disorders and body image issues. I emphasize with my clients that the goal isn’t to reach a certain number on the scale but to develop a healthy relationship with their body. I want to help my clients view their body as something to care for instead of something to avoid or punish.
I believe my role as a clinician is to teach my clients on how to become their own therapist. I work from a client centered approach, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques based on the clients needs. I use body based therapy to help clients focus more on how certain exercises are making them feel NOW, instead of the detailed stories from the past.
