About
Help is hard to ask for, especially when it comes to mental health. Let me assure you of a few things: My approach is strength-centered and collaborative. You are the expert on your life and experience. I can help you with understanding and managing anxiety, depression, and healing from past trauma. Together we can work on building emotional intelligence, distress tolerance, and communication skills. As a non-binary Butch person, I enjoy working with people in learning more about and affirming their sexuality and gender. You don’t have to do this alone.
As someone with their own therapeutic journey, I have lived experience with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, childhood trauma, PTSD, being neurodivergent, ADHD, and religious trauma. I am passionate about working with the LGBT+ community, as well as helping family of those in the community learn to be affirming of gender and sexuality.
Making the first phone call can be nerve-wracking, but it is a great way to tell if you’ll feel comfortable meeting through telehealth. Go with your gut on this one! Some helpful questions to ask when consulting: “Have you worked with my diagnosis and/or my community before? How long is each session, and how often? Do you have sliding scale spots open?"
