*My practice is currently full and I am not accepting new clients* I work with people whose parents and caregivers were unable to provide the emotional support and guidance they needed in childhood, even if they were well-intentioned. Ranging from emotional mis-attunement to outright abuse, these experiences lead to deep-seated (and sometimes unconscious) negative beliefs about oneself and others that precipitate depression, anxiety, unsatisfying careers, disconnected relationships, and difficulty feeling satisfaction and contentment.
I am an active therapist. I focus on self-acceptance and non-judgment as well as nervous system and emotional regulation. I provide psychotherapy with EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and internal family systems to help you integrate traumatic experiences. I am often able to help people who have been in previous therapies but have yet to find relief.
I completed my doctorate at George Washington University in Washington, DC and interned at New York Psychoanalytic Institute and the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. I have worked in clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and schools as a therapist, administrator, program developer, evaluator, and consultant.
