My initial visit typically includes a brief assessment of the presenting concern to better understand the client's stressors, problems, strengths and resources. I try to establish an action plan to guide our future sessions.
I work with individuals and couples. Some of the main issues I address are: relationship and communication problems, anxiety and depression, adjustment difficulties, family conflicts, life changes, trauma, and self-esteem issues.
Although the clinical work focuses on staying present-focused, my interventions and questions integrate resolutions that involve both a person's past and future experiences.
