You deserve to feel loved, valued, and worthy of what life has to offer. Sometimes getting to this place requires someone to be in solidarity with you, to help you process your thoughts, identify obstacles, embrace new behaviors, and adopt new ways of living and being. I am passionate about working with adults who are experiencing life transitions, balancing family, school, and/or work responsibilities as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief. I am also passionate about working with individuals that come from family traditions that may have caused them to shy away from therapy.
For more than 18 years, I worked in the field of health education where I mentored and guided individuals and communities to improve physical and mental health outcomes. I have more than 20 years of experience helping with life transitions through assessment, mentoring, coaching, advising, and teaching adults of all ages in a university setting.
My approach is anti-oppressive, collaborative, welcoming, & nonjudgmental. I use several therapeutic approaches: person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, & strengths perspective to support and empower you. I aim to help you manage your life in a manner that brings you peace, allowing you space to dream, thrive, & grow.
