Dana Kane-Glickman Lcsw's Groups
Middle/High School Anxiety and Depression Groups
I am running 3 separate weekly therapy groups. Two for middle school, (Saturdays 11:30-12:30pm) and (Thurs, 630-730pm), and 1 for high school (7:45-8:45pm) They offer kids a safe place to share their lives, to help (tweens and teens) adolescents explore issues and focus on self esteem, school, struggles with parents, anger, depression, anxiety, sexuality, (LGBTQ) divorce, relationships, peer pressure, drug/alcohol use and the pandemic. We work on coping skills, learn how to be assertive, communication, decision making, self confidence, feelings, negotiating skills, problem solving, and life skills.
Social Skills-Recreational Groups/Group Therapy
A social skills-recreational program, providing a safe, fun place where 6th grade though 18 plus come together, feel a part of a group, are accepted unconditionally, develop positive self esteem and learn social communication. The goal is to improve awareness of ones own behaviors, how it affect others and to make and keep friends. The 18 + Connections Social Skills group meets Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm and the Middle school Social Skills groups meets Saturday and Sunday mornings and High school groups run Mon, Tues and Wed nights 6:00-830 pm.
