About
I work with children, youth, and families. I help my clients learn to cope and heal from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-harming, suicidal ideation, PTSD, trauma, and abuse (sexual/psychological/emotional/physical). I also enjoy working with clients facing issues around abandonment, grief and loss, and intergenerational trauma. My goal is to help clients feel empowered and provide hope they can heal from any painful past or present experiences in their lives. I am certified in somatic and embodiment regulation strategies, where I completed a 12-week course with trauma therapist Linda Thai.
I offer my clients opportunities to learn about self-care, mindfulness, meditation, and how to lessen the impacts of negative self-talk. Mindfulness can be achieved through different forms such as focusing on the present-moment and non-judgmentally accepting your internal experiences.
I use mindfulness and have personally experienced a decrease in racing thoughts and stress level. I practice noticing when my mind wanders, listen to my body and how I feel moment to moment. Mindfulness is a great practice for clients of all ages to decrease anxiety, stress, improve concentration and overall performance at school and work.
