I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides individual therapy to adults age 18 and over. I am experienced in the treatment of addictions and mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders. I also provide therapy for a wide range of other issues such as stress, trauma, relationship, life transitions and emotional adjustment to health/medical issues and life events involving grief and loss. I believe that effective therapy involves developing new thought patterns,healthy coping mechanisms, new beliefs about one's self as well as the strengthening internal and external resources.
I use an eclectic, client-centered approach, informed by neuroscience and evidenced based practices. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR and mindfulness meditation. I strive to meet my clients with compassion and respect as they engage the challenges to a full, healthy and balanced life.
