Welcome to my profile. My name is Dana Fogel-Stark and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist specializing in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorder and Couple/Relational Issues. I have been licensed as a psychotherapist for over 20 years and in full time private practice in the heart of Calabasas. My therapeutic approach is eclectic focused on both helping clients gain insight and awareness as to the origin and cause of their struggles as well as helping clients gain the tools and coping mechanisms needed to overcome their challenges. My theoretical orientation is eclectic, using both cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic interventions to assist my clients in overcoming their emotional struggles. Psychoanalytic interventions assist clients in gaining awareness regarding unconscious aspects of the self and interpersonal patterns of interaction in personal relationships. CBT provides clients with more adaptive coping skills.
Additionally, I have had significant experience working with children and adolescents experiencing emotional problems. I have worked extensively with parents and families on parenting education, behavioral interventions and symptom management. My clinical approach has assisted children, individuals and families to treat, restore and improve their potential for health and success.
