About
As the sixth generation of my family to live in Howell County, I understand how foreign the concept of counseling may be to some people. Yet, as an Ozarker, I also understand the wit, humor, passion and intelligence of the people of this area, and I combine these traits with formal training and natural curiosity about people to create space for my clients to go through the healing process. Native Ozarker or not, it is my belief that everyone, at some point in their lives, will experience trauma, loss, or mental illness that is treatable through therapy.
I love working with adolescents and teens in the foster system, adults who want to break the cycle of trauma, those who have suffered a loss or who may be battling mental illness. My therapy office is also an LGBTQ safe space for teens and families that need to work through what may feel like a huge shift in their life.
It is my great privilege to work with clients, to share their pain and grief, and to watch as they work to come to a new understanding of their past to reshape a life into something more manageable. It is my job and my goal to walk with my clients through the process, not leading, but being the steady companion they can rely on as they find their own way.
