Dana Darrow, LCSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Albuquerque
I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1992. As one can imagine, my treatment approach has changed and evolved during that period of time. My primary goal for anyone entering my office is that they will feel a sense of calm, and feel they are entering a safe environment to share their life story and struggles without judgement. My role is to join with clients to define their needs, and discover new ways of looking at themselves and their world. I truly believe the psyche longs for healing, and buried deep within us, lies the means to do that.
I am a depth, existential therapist. I work with adults who are experiencing life crisis and transitional phases in their lives. I also conduct groups and workshops using movement, meditation and art. I use visualization, active imagination and dream interpretation as part of my practice with individuals.
After working with an Jungian Analyst and Astrologer for a number of years, I began to incorporate Astrology into my practice for those who are interested. I find that it is a fun and useful tool for gathering history and information into family dynamics and patterns in one's life.

Exploring Dreams and Dream Images

This will be a weekly process group for women beginning 02/25/18. We will be exploring our dreams together. I will provide education and information on the role of dream-work and dream interpretation in a therapeutic environment. As our world becomes more chaotic and unpredictable, women are expressing a need to "come out of the shadows" and join together for support and insight. This group will consist of 5 women who are interested in understanding their dreams in a supportive setting. We will utilize active imagination in order to bring our dream images into our circle.
