About
My approach to therapy is based on creating a strong relationship with my clients: a place where they feel safe to explore their lives . I always work collaboratively with my clients to find what techniques and therapeutic environment they need to grow, and heal. I believe that having an empathic, open, and caring therapist is where successful therapy begins. I place a strong emphasis on making my clients feel comfortable, welcome, and safe. I do not believe that one approach in therapy will work for everyone.
I have found over time that my clients have many different unique needs, and so I have trained in various clinical approaches to treatment. I use my experience and my clinical skills to get to know my clients, and gauge what I feel would be most helpful for them to reach their goals. This can include CBT, DBT, reflective listening, emotional support...
