Everyone experiences different challenges throughout life that could result in physical, social, emotional, and mental distress that requires help navigating through the rough times. Gaining access to the instruments and understanding how to use the tools is necessary to locate the direction to move and continue with forward progress. I tailor therapy to meet each client’s needs to build confidence, increase self-awareness, self-acceptance, and improve their ability to manage life effectively.
My counseling approach is person-centered using cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and solution-focused techniques. Individually tailored therapy is necessary for the well-being of my clients in a comfortable, receptive, and supportive environment. Working with couples in a non-judgmental way by not taking sides promotes healing and change.
Children, teenagers, and young adults are at crucial ages of transition in their development which can sometimes be difficult to navigate through especially on their own. I work with them and their families to help guide them to learn appropriate ways to address and voice the concerns they are experiencing in a safe place.
