I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990. I spent 20 years in sales and business before completing my Masters degree Educational Psychology-Counseling in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My experience in business and counseling has given me the opportunity to treat a diversified clientele including: individuals, families, couples: male or female, adolescent to adult and affluent to impoverished.
Throughout my career I have worked with a broad spectrum of clients which has shaped my ability to be compassionate and empathetic. I utilize a multitude of treatment modalities including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy; each having a history of proven effectiveness.
I have experience treating clients who are struggling with anger management, anxiety, parenting, substance use, depression, life transition, relationships, communication, and grief and loss. Each clients therapeutic journey is special, I enjoy helping client through this journey to reach their ultimate potential and inner happiness.
