About
The focus of my practice is to help others overcome low self-esteem/confidence, relationship or interpersonal issues, a sense of disconnection, difficulties with school or career, "impostor syndrome," and the pressures of starting a family. These issues often entail finding a helpful way to cope with anxiety, depression, anger, and other difficult emotions.
Working together collaboratively, we can help you find the best resolutions to problems; gain a deeper understanding of yourself; correct self-defeating thoughts, beliefs, and behavior (which often originate in childhood). I have formal training in a Psychodynamic theory but will follow a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model, when appropriate.
I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free environment that will allow you to open up, to connect with your feelings, and to feel heard and understood. I will be empathic, but honest and direct, when the timing is right.
