I strive to ensure that the relationship between myself and my clients consists of respect for where you are at when you begin your therapy as well a guarantee that the focus will always be on you and whatever needs you have at the moment.
This “unconditional positive regard” should always be a given. However, it often is not and leads to a belief by clients that therapy “doesn’t work”. Therapy does work when you connect with a therapist who listens, challenges and is skillful enough to help you gain the insights you need to create change.
