Healing doesn't ask you to become someone else. Rather, it involves rediscovering yourself, hidden and/or forgotten beneath all the layers of pain, shame, confusion, guilt, feeling stuck, etc.. Pain in life is inevitable, but it doesn't have to cause suffering. We can learn to become more capable of dealing with life's challenges as they arise and perhaps even transform them into opportunities for growth. I strive to empower clients to create meaningful change in their lives. I also strive to help clients understand themselves better. Often, these processes go hand in hand. I employ multiple modalities, including EMDR.

I approach all of my work with clients from some bedrock assumptions: 1) No one is defective or broken. 2) Healing is always possible. 3) Inside each of us is an innate wholeness that can never be destroyed, only obscured/forgotten. 4) The way out of suffering is through. Often hidden in the places that scare us lies the key to our most profound healing.

I serve clients across a broad spectrum of identities (cultural, racial, spiritual, social, sexual, gender, etc.). I am a straight ally who is proud to offer a safe, affirming environment for queer clients. I am also proud to work with many neurodivergent clients. I continue to seek training/knowledge to help me best serve every client with whom I work.
