I enjoy working with people who feel “stuck”in certain behaviors or situations, like addictions, depression, or obsessive and compulsive behavior - behavior that tends to undermine their sense of worth. I like working with adults and adolescents, couples, and families. People who have issues related to religious beliefs or matters of faith are another area of specialty.
I got my Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts University and am a Licensed Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Counselor with 37 years experience in the field having built and directed hospital-based and community-based psychiatric and substance abuse treatment centers. I am a regular presenter at statewide professional conferences training clinicians.
However, my greatest qualification is that I have 40 years of consistent recovery from some of the very things my clients deal with. I understand and appreciate their struggles. But I can see the light from their perspective to walk with them out of their darkest places. It’s a journey together that is exciting and rewarding. Let’s talk!
