I believe that the most healing, transformative therapeutic work occurs when there is an authentic relationship between therapist and client. I provide an environment which fundamentally supports a feeling of safety by witnessing you where you are with curiosity and without judgment. For many people, feeling safe also involves being able to set their own pace in therapy.
My client-centered approach draws from many modalities including mindfulness, parts work, traditional talk therapy, and somatic awareness, with a light touch and flexibility which many clients find spacious. Change occurs through a process of integrating emotional and physical experiences into present-moment awareness.
Therapy carves out a safe space to finish feeling the emotions that have gotten stuck, which everyday life doesn’t always allow. It can also be helpful to identify and reframe the stories we tell ourselves that no longer serve us. I will help you identify your needs and motivations, gently but unflinchingly, and work towards a feeling of wholeness.
