I have practiced in a wide variety of clinical settings, both in-patient and out-patient, and have taught in the Psychology Department at College of Notre Dame of Maryland. My experience has covered many diverse populations such as seniors, families, adults, and couples.
I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral techniques, family psychodynamics, interpersonal psychology, and solution focused approaches. My philosophy is that the therapy process is a collaborative effort that emerges from a meaningful dialogue between patient and therapist.
I strongly believe in the process of helping others to tap into their own resources and inner strengths. Specific techniques such as hypnosis and visualization are sometimes utilized when indicated.
