Living with chronic pain can change how you move through the world—physically, emotionally, and mentally. It can affect mood, relationships, identity, and sometimes lead to or complicate substance use. As a therapist who both treats chronic pain and lives with it, I bring not only clinical training, but deep personal understanding to this work.
I specialize in working with individuals struggling with substance use, chronic pain, and the complex intersection of the two. Pain and substance use are often intertwined in ways that can feel overwhelming or misunderstood.
My lived experience with chronic pain informs my work, but it does not define it. I can deeply understand the frustration of navigating medical systems, the grief that can come with changes to your body or abilities, and the toll of pain that doesn’t simply “go away.” My approach is grounded in the belief that relief and meaningful change are possible.
In addition to pain and substance-related concerns, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. I see therapy as a collaborative process: we work together to better understand patterns, build practical coping tools, and create a life that feels more manageable and aligned.
