About
Have you noticed that your child/teen is more anxious, sad, or angry? Do they seem disconnected, spend more time alone, have trouble relating to peers, or have constant worries about life? Maybe you feel like you are walking on egg shells and unsure of how to respond to their behaviors. Perhaps, there has been a trauma that the whole family is still processing. There is more anxiety and stress and it is becoming overwhelming. You try and listen and offer support but you are out of ideas. You need someone who is objective, can relate to your child, and give them practical tools to help them through.
You want your child to be healthy, happy and enjoy their life. You want to feel in control and capable as a parent. Through EMDR and mind-body approaches, you and your child will learn healthy coping skills to manage stress and find ways to calm down when big feelings arise. We will work to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and find peace.
My style is warm, open, fun, creative, strength-based and non-judgmental. We will move together, engage in breathing exercises, practice mindfulness and use creative arts activities to access deeper levels of healing. Children and teens will have a safe space to be themselves and parents will learn how to better understand and connect with their child.
