About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience working in the helping field. I primarily work with Adults, with a focus on strength based, person centered techniques that emphasize self-esteem, positive thinking, and personal resilience. I enjoy utilizing mindfulness exercises in my counseling combined with CBT. I am interested in working with older teens 16 and up as well as adults. Clients that respond well to an honest and straight-forward positive approach would find my services most helpful.
I have a great deal of experience and training with mindfulness based treatments, assisting with stress management, and teaching clients how to develop relaxation techniques. I have a degree in community agency counseling as well as marriage and family counseling and feel that I work well with diverse populations.
I hope to offer clients experience in a diverse background. I have worked with those that are severely mentally ill, those dealing with substance related issues, as well as those who are having a difficult time navigating life events. If you are willing to work, I believe I can help.
