Hello, my name is D'Andra Nelson. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received a BS in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and an MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I am a U.S. Navy veteran and I believe therapy is a tool people can use to heal and show up in their world from a space of wellness and self-actualization.
I have more than 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and veterans. I primarily work with individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, and severe mood disturbances.
I decided to major in Psychology after working for a nonprofit organization that provided case management and after-school care to at-risk youth in South Central Los Angeles. I saw how there was a high need for youth in the inner city. I transitioned to working with victims of domestic violence and their children.
