A contributing health system clinician at Northwestern University's Medical School and in private practice, I work with people struggling with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Because of the complexities of human experience, I maintain a flexible therapeutic approach depending on an individual client's needs. I am engaged in addressing the roots of repetitive patterns and, at the same time, emphasize helping clients manage current conflicts and emotions so they are able to move forward in their lives. Our work together should lead to increased self-awareness, connectedness, and deeper satisfaction in personal life, work, and relationships.
I believe treatment is optimal when problems are addressed within the context of one's relationships and social/cultural experiences. Through a thoughtful and compassionate therapeutic relationship, together we will explore problems and arrive at solutions to improve your emotional well-being and functioning so that you may live the life you want to lead
While my practice is general, I have specialized experience in reproductive mental health (e.g. pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss, infertility, assisted reproductive technology, parenting challenges). My clinical practice is rooted in my experiences with diverse populations of all ages in multiple levels of care, ongoing involvement in teaching/training, and remaining current with research developments.
