About
I provide psychotherapy, EMDR, and guidance for adults, couples, families, and adolescents. My ideal client is one who is ready to begin the journey towards a better functioning family, and/or a happier lifestyle. I specialize in trauma-informed cognitive-behavioral therapy and EMDR; as well as attachment-based psychotherapy. In my work with adults, I vary between cognitive behavioral with mindfulness approaches with underpinnings of an attachment orientation and a strengths perspective. With couples, I also integrate the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
What makes me unique is both my theoretical approach and my personal style. I believe the therapeutic relationship is based on mutual respect and admiration. We will create goals and outcomes that work. I use humor, motivation, and empathy to connect and help make changes in your life.
In addition to private practice, I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Texas, a board approved clinical supervisor, and the parent of three adopted children, and three dogs. I believe therapy is both an art and a science. Together I believe we can move your LIFE FORWARD.
