About
I am very passionate and invested in the process of helping children ( age 10), preteens, adolescent, young adults, and families develop skills for coping with emotional distress. Most of my clients have experienced melt downs, panic attacks, school avoidance, fears, loss, urges to self harm, sadness and loneliness. I have considerable expertise in this field of treatment and work with clients who have a significant degree of clinical complexity.
I am well versed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response and Cognitive Behavior Therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. As a seasoned family therapist, I can assist in improving the family functioning.
I listen with intuitive interest and compassion while assisting clients to craft solutions. It seems that I am most successful when I collaborate with other experts and build a treatment team as needed. I offer support and guidance while teaching therapeutic skills.
