I've spent 20+ years doing this work- and I've lived it. I know what it's like to manage a mental health diagnosis, survive loss, and rebuild. That's not something I share to center myself- it's why I show up differently. I'm not going to hand you a worksheet and send you on your way. I'm going to learn who you actually are, what's actually hard, and we're going to figure out what actually helps. I work with individuals, couples and families dealing with Bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use, and the complicated grief that comes from surviving things people don't talk about openly.
I don't have a script. I have a toolbox-CBT, trauma-focused approaches, motivational interviewing, attachment-based work and more- and I use what fits you. My style is warm and energetic, but I also tell it like is is when you need that. My goal is that you leave our visit feeling clearer not more overwhelmed.
I am a real person with real issues of my own that I have overcome and doing well today. Through great therapy one can move mountains. I am a very warm and understanding person.
