I help adults and couples with relationship and codependency issues, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and addictive patterns with self and others. I help you to create a relationship with yourself and others based on respect, caring and trust. This helps build the feeling of safety that lies at the core of any successful therapy. My goal is to support you in finding and strengthening your own inner voice. When we learn to free ourselves from old, stuck patterns of relating (in mind and body), we often feel a lightness of being that allows us to experience more joy in our everyday lives.
To heal from codependency you must find your authentic voice. I support you in grieving and releasing old pain often held in the body, as well as the psyche. By using guided imagery, doing guided inner work using Internal Family Systems Therapy,and practicing mindfulness techniques (ACT) this process can unfold safely and gently.
I have almost 35 years of experience doing this work and find it very fulfilling. I have traveled quite extensively and speak Spanish fluently. My exposure to other cultures has broadened my sensitivity and ability to reach people from many different ethnic as well as religious/spiritual backgrounds.
