I have successfully helped children, teens, adults and families who have endured traumatic experiences, behavioral/anger issues or school/job issues. I also have helped individuals currently experiencing emotional pain such as anxiety/depression, hopelessness, self harming behaviors. It is my belief that people have the innate potential to free themselves of emotional difficulties. My goal is to provide the necessary tools and teach skills needed to overcome emotional difficulties and develop meaningful relationships with family and friends.
I use evidence-based techniques that are creative and expressive to empower clients to resolve difficult issues. Specifically, I utilize EMDR, hypnotherapy, play therapy, sand tray, and child-parent relationship format. Children and adults will feel safe and respected as I have a relaxed and nonjudgemental approach to counseling.
Sharing one's story can be difficult, for this reason, you can rest assure that I will work at your pace in a relaxing and calming atmosphere that is safe and confident. As part of the initial assessment, you will receive calming techniques to use at home to assist with anxiety and other resources as needed.
