Cynthia Cutshall
Psychologist, PhD
Psychotherapy can alleviate psychological pain, help you know yourself better, and create opportunities to build healthier relationships. We will work together to get to know you, paying attention to your cultural context. This endeavor can bring to your awareness important unnoticed or unnamed patterns that have been causing you pain or difficulty. Most importantly, sharing your story with someone who empathizes can bring great relief.
I primarily use relational, psychodynamic, and multicultural approaches. This means that I pay attention to the unconscious mind, and I think about the ways in which early relationships and cultural identities have impacted your internal world and how you presently relate to others, including me.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative, supportive journey toward self-discovery, helping you heal and effect change in your life so that you feel more fulfilled. I believe that change is possible at any age, and I've worked with adults at all stages of life.
