Hello, and welcome to counseling! I am a board-certified licensed professional counselor in Texas (License 85234), and I specialize in the treatment of depression and anxiety as well as the prevention of suicide. I also provide career and wellness counseling to support my clients in strengthening their identities, developing resilience, and honoring their values. With each client I work collaboratively to create a unique and individualized treatment plan that typically draws from a number of different approaches.
I start the first session with reviewing confidentiality and informed consent as well as setting expectations. I then give the client an opportunity to tell their story and share what brings them to counseling. At the end of the session, I provide general ideas for how to approach their treatment, request feedback from the client, and decide with them what

My personal experiences along with my professional training as both a physician and a counselor help me to empathize with my clients, understand their perspectives, and develop effective plans for managing emotional and mental health issue
