As a counselor, I am awed by the amount of loss and trauma that clients are carrying, yet still manage to function in everyday life. The problem is, all that effort gets tiring. Counseling at my office begins with getting to know you: your story and your goals. My dual career as a registered nurse gives me excellent assessment skills to base my therapy upon. I am trained in EMDR, a powerful therapy to treat PTSD. I am familiar with multiple therapeutic approaches, so I can use the therapy that best suits you individually.
The magic does not happen just in the therapy room, so choose me only if you are willing to do the work between sessions in the real world. I not only draw from my education, but from life experience. I have been a wife, mother, grandmother, and mentor. My Christian faith helps me see people through eyes of compassion.
