I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who places greatest value in establishing an empathic, warm, & respectful environment (while modeling firm, healthy boundaries) for clients & their families. Over the last 7 years I've treated adults, children, teens, couples, families, & groups in a private practice setting. My strength-based, collaborative approach drawing on numerous techniques (CBT, DBT, Fam Systems, etc.) helps clients get the most from therapy & allows tailoring our work to your needs. When beneficial and appropriate, I work to foster a "team approach," encouraging good communication w/other members of a client's daily life (i.e. other practitioners/physicians, family, teachers, etc.).
Individual & group topics included: Parent Education; sexual orientation/gender identity, all ages (LGBTQ & ally community, PFLAG); life-span changes (career & academic transitions, "failure to launch," "empty nest," menopause, etc.); Mindfulness; multiculturalism; trauma/abuse/PTSD (i.e healthy relationships/DV); Anxiety/Depression/Mood Disorders; Addictions; suicidality & self-harm; Autism Spectrum (social skills); Tricotillomania; ADHD; Tourette's.
For clients of any age our work often includes building insight, accountability, & action to achieve goals. Particularly w/ children/teens, involving & supporting family is key.
