Do you feel as though unhealthy coping skills are preventing you from becoming your "Best Self"? Sometimes in life, we face adverse situations in which we learn to cope using unhealthy skills. This may cause us to feel stuck and wondering why we can't do the things that we know, think, and feel would be helpful? Unhealthy coping behaviors may cause a person to feel stuck and wonder why they aren't progressing. Unfortunately, we continue to use these skills in ways that are no longer beneficial and eventually cause harm to our functioning. Therapy can be helpful in identifying, eliminating, and replacing these harmful behaviors.

As your therapist, I want you to feel heard and validated. Therapy allows an opportunity for introspection into what's working for you and what's not working. The work begins when we can find effective strategies to replace unhealthy coping mechanisms in our life. I find joy in watching individuals gain insight and find pleasure in their lives again.
