Therapy TikTok and self-help podcasts offer the comfort of being heard without the risk of being truly known. Psychotherapy offers the opposite, the risk of being known and the reward of being truly seen. I work with individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I believe lasting change starts with understanding why. Why we repeat the same dynamic in every relationship. Why we sabotage the things we want most. Why we shut down instead of reaching out. Twenty years in the arts taught me that the most meaningful work requires collaboration and curiosity, and that it doesn't have to be humorless.

In psychodynamic therapy, the why is rarely on the surface. It lives in patterns set long ago, usually in our earliest relationships, running quietly under everything. Instead of managing the symptom, we explore where it came from. Over time, you step out of old patterns, make new choices, know yourself and your partner more fully, and live more freely.
