I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky with over 30 years of clinical experience. I became a psychotherapist to help people achieve their treatment goals, have a clearer understanding of themselves, have healthy relationships, and feel better. I have assisted clients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, strained communication, grief/loss, trauma, codependency, PTSD, anger, substance use/abuse, and co-occurring disorders.
Therapy is a partnership. My role, as I work to instill hope, is to help clients self-determine, self-actualize, and become more empowered to make choices and decisions that produce wholeness, health, and more peace in their lives. Interventions I employ are active listening, client-centered, solution-focused, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based.
Listening more than I speak is my main style. Many times clients need a safe place to express themselves. I love holding space for clients, meeting them where they are, and providing an atmosphere without judgment or restraint so that clients are empowered and feel free to grow and progress. I have also been told my voice is super calm and soothing.
