I believe therapy should increase contentment in life, self-knowledge, acceptance and mindfulness of others, including the impact of their actions. Throughout our lives, we all deal with challenges that can negatively affect what is most important to us, such as relationships, family or job. I work with my clients to help them become more self-aware so that they look at situations differently, are more reflective about the thoughts their experiences evoke and as a result, the actions they take. Modifying choices we make in our thoughts or actions decreases the distress we experience, a primary reason why we seek therapy.
I work collaboratively with my clients, tailoring what I do to the issues presented. The basis of my therapy is grounded in what has been demonstrated to work with similar clients with similar problems.
