For many of us, there comes a time when something in our life feels out of balance, out of control. Perhaps it's our marriage or partnership, a family relationship, a job, our health. As a psychotherapist, I feel my goal is not to provide you with answers or advice, but to help you understand yourself, your world, and your place in it.
I want to help you find what drives you, what motivates you, what frightens you. What brings you joy and a sense of fulfillment? For over 20 years, I've been working with adults, adolescents and couples to find the answers to these questions.
Although I would consider my work to be psychoanalytically based, I also make extensive use of more cognitively-based approaches for certain issues, especially with adolescents and older children. I'm also very interested in the use of writing as a medium for insight and change.
