I take a down-to-earth, respectful approach to my work with individuals and couples. My purpose is to help people get out of their own way and move towards making their personal goals and dreams a reality. I specialize in a broad range of clinical and performance issues including sport psychology, relationship and communication skills, anxiety and depression, and substance abuse problems. The topics of my books range from addressing codependency and parenting issues to making a case for using sports as a medium for developing character and integrity in boys.
In my practice I work to help parents foster sound personality development, and athletic and academic success in their sons and daughters. Much of my work also centers on helping couples become more effective in becoming a team in which both have a clear and respected voice.
I use the common sense and pragmatic principles of sport psychology to help adolescents and adults achieve their life goals. My clients' aspirations range from the struggle to free themselves from addiction to academic, career based, relationship oriented, athletic, and self-acceptance issues.
