As a licensed clinical psychologist, I provide individual therapy to older adolescents, adults and seniors. Working from a psychodynamic framework, I specialize in helping people dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, trauma, relationship difficulties and life transitions. I am flexible in my approach to psychotherapy and adjust my ways of working to meet the needs of each unique individual. In the context of a therapeutic relationship based on respect, empathy and collaboration, my goal as a therapist is to understand the unique set of problems, experiences and goals of those seeking help.
In addition to providing relief from the specific issues that brought you to therapy, psychotherapy is also a powerful way of increasing understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your behavior. Through increased self-awareness and insight, therapy can promote change that leads to a more meaningful, satisfying, and fulfilling life.
I received my B.A. in Psychology from The College of New Jersey and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. Among a variety of settings, I received extensive psychological training at North Central Bronx Hospital and Bellevue Hospital Center.
