I have been very effective in working with an array of issues, including anxiety/depression, bi-polar disorder, anger management, grief/loss, trauma, and elder issues/concerns. I became a therapist to help my community. I started working with children diagnosed with Autism over 10years ago, I became a registered behavior technician to further my knowledge to continue more in-depth work in community mental health using ABA. Regardless of the success I had as a technician I knew I wanted to do more so I obtained my Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters Degree. I finally felt like I was doing the work I always dreamed of doing. Upon graduating I was immediate hired at the community mental health clinic where I worked with children, teens and families of diverse backgrounds.

Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Lighthouse Counseling & Sand Play Training Center, LLC was conceived in 2000 in a tiny office in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey by Gretchen Morgan and Mary Pat McGeehin. Their search for effective treatment led them to include the use of Sand Play Therapy, EMDR, yoga and therapeutic group work with their clients. This was in response to the expanding body of research which illustrated that the mind-body connection was integral to the healing of mental health issues. In 2004, they expanded their practice to include like-minded affiliate clinicians and moved to a larger facility in Eatontown, New Jersey.
