I have more than 20 years of experience in working with individuals from all walks of life. I have helped many people dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, low self-esteem, and stress. Taking the step to enter therapy can be scary, but is often a very powerful experience. I believe that problematic early relationships can often cause roadblocks to happiness and satisfaction in one's current relationships. I provide a very safe, sensitive, non-judgmental environment where I can offer practical solutions to the problems of life, and offer the hope of positive change and personal growth.
I specialize in working with older adolescents and adults who have histories of trauma. I also have extensive experience in working with adult women and men coping with relationship difficulties. In addition, I have many years of experience working with individuals of color including African-Americans, Latinx, and Muslim-Americans.
As the daughter of immigrants, I have a strong interest and experience in working with individuals who are coping with identity and aculturation issues as well as those struggling with general relational problems. I am a multi-lingual therapist and speak fluent English and Serbo-Croatian.
