I am a native of the South, but I have lived in many places--California, Texas, Germany. Served in the US Army for four years, got my Masters in counselling afterwards. I have worked in mental health facilities (including prison) since 2006 and on contract since 2010. I started working as a counsellor with US soldiers in 2010, and with Marines and sailors in 2012 I really enjoy working with military members (past or present) and their families, as well as civilians from all walks of life and the many stages of living.
"Helping you find balance in your life," is my goal. A counsellor is helper in the process of self-awareness, healing, and redirecting one's life: all the energy and drive to change comes from the client. It is my privilege to help my clients discover & tap into that energy to live as they wish.
On a personal note, my faith is the most important aspect of my life, and I am comfortable relating to my clients from that vantage point. However, I will happily meet any client wherever his or her spiritual life may be or may lead, or from a secular point of view.
